Section Elementary School

It is truly an honor to serve as the principal of Section Elementary and to work alongside our passionate teachers, dedicated staff, and supportive families. Together, we’re committed to providing an exceptional educational experience for every student.

 

With over 20 years in education, I’ve had the privilege of serving in many roles—from classroom teacher to curriculum and student services director, and now as principal. My journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, followed by a Master’s degree from Alverno College. I later earned my Educational Leadership certification from Carroll University and Student Services certification from UW–Milwaukee.

 

 At the heart of my educational philosophy is the belief that learning should be a joyful, engaging, and empowering experience for every student. When students find joy in learning, they become curious thinkers, confident risk-takers, and lifelong learners who see knowledge not as a task to complete, but as a journey to embrace.  

 

At Section Elementary, our motto—Honor All with Kindness and Support—guides everything we do. Our students and families know that we don’t just say it, we live it. We believe in cultivating a community of learners who are curious, creative, and confident, ready to thrive in an ever-changing world.

 

Just as important, I value strong partnerships with families and our broader community. Open communication and collaboration are key to creating a positive, connected school culture where everyone feels welcome and invested in our students’ success.

 

Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, traveling, reading, and keeping up with our two very enthusiastic goldendoodles!
