Section Elementary School

Welcome to Section Elementary School! 

 

It is my honor to serve as your principal and work alongside our passionate teachers, dedicated staff, and supportive community to provide an exceptional educational experience for every student.

 

I bring over 20 years of experience in the field of education and I have had the privilege of wearing many hats- from classroom teacher to curriculum and student services director and now as principal. My journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, followed by a Master’s degree from Alverno College. I earned my Educational Leadership certification from Carroll University and Student Services certification from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. 

 

As Section Elementary HAWKS, our motto is to Honor All with Kindness and Support. Section students and families love that we live our motto! We believe in cultivating a community of lifelong learners who are prepared to thrive in a dynamic and ever-changing world. Our dedicated teachers and staff work tirelessly to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment, where students are encouraged to be curious, creative, and confident learners.

 

My educational philosophy is rooted in the idea that every student deserves a high-quality education that meets their unique needs and interests. I am passionate about encouraging students to embrace challenges, and supporting them in developing resilience and perseverance.

 

Beyond the classroom, I am committed to building strong relationships with families and community members. I believe that open communication and collaboration are key to creating a positive school culture where everyone feels connected and invested in our students' success.

 

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family traveling, playing with our two excitable goldendoodles and reading.
